These terms apply to repair, installation and inspection services provided by Editly Home Repair Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 202001034127 (1392648-H)) and to your use of the editly.help website. Booking a job with us means you accept them. They are shorter than most, because we would rather be clear than clever.
Quotes are prepared from the photos, videos and descriptions you provide, and are valid for 14 days. A quote is fixed for the work described in it: if we open a wall and discover a genuinely different problem, work pauses and you receive a revised written quote before anything continues. You may decline the revision and pay only for work already completed and materials already installed.
Arrival windows are confirmed in writing. We need safe access to the work area, a responsible adult on site (or written remote-approval arrangements for landlords), and for electrical work, access to your distribution board. For condominiums, we arrange management permits ourselves where possible, but timely approval remains the resident’s responsibility.
Cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 4 hours before your window. Later cancellations, or no access at the agreed time, may incur a RM60 call-out fee — waived the first time it happens, because life happens.
Payment is due on completion, by bank transfer, DuitNow QR or cash, against an itemised invoice. Projects above RM2,000 may require a materials deposit stated in the quote. Invoices unpaid after 14 days accrue late interest at 1.5% per month.
Our workmanship is warranted for 90 days from completion: if the identical fault recurs at the same point, we return and remedy it at no charge. Parts we supply carry their manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty does not cover unrelated faults, damage caused by other contractors, misuse, or pre-existing conditions we flagged in writing and you chose not to repair.
We carry public liability insurance and take documented care in your home. We are liable for damage we negligently cause, up to the limits of that policy. We are not liable for pre-existing hidden defects (such as corroded concealed pipes) except to the extent we made them worse through negligence, nor for consequential losses such as lost rental income.
